CDL Class B Bus Operator (Local – Home Daily)

Rock Region METRO is the public transit system serving central Arkansas, providing more than 2.5 million passenger trips annually across Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle, Jacksonville, Sherwood, and Pulaski County.

We are seeking safety-focused, customer-oriented professionals to join our team as CDL Class B Bus Operators. This is a rewarding opportunity to serve your community while building a stable, long-term career.

    • Position Overview

  • Operate fixed-route buses in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner

  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers

  • Ensure compliance with all DOT and agency safety regulations

  • Maintain a consistent, reliable attendance record

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Valid Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement OR

  • Valid CDL Permit with Passenger Endorsement (training provided)

  • Have a current, or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen

  • Strong customer service and communication skills preferred

    • Paid Training & CDL Support

  • Paid training program provided for individuals with a CDL permit and Passenger endorsement

  • Hands-on instruction and support to obtain full CDL licensure

  • Opportunity to transition into a full-time operator role upon successful completion

  • Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour

  • Progression: $28.00+ per hour within 3 years based on tenure and performance

  • Overtime Eligibility

  • Bi-weekly Pay with Direct Deposit
