is hiring for a Diesel Truck Mechanic

and a Field/ Road Mechanic

out of:

Northville, MI

Calo and Sons Construction and the family of companies are looking to hire an in-house and field mechanic to work on company owned semi-trucks and trailers.The Heavy Diesel Truck& Trailer Mechanic performs all functions pertaining to the repair and maintenance of tractor and trailer units, heavy equipment, fleet roadside service calls and inventory controls and processing paperwork.

Responsibilities include:

The Heavy Truck Mechanic will:

  • Maintain and repair various components of tractors and trailers including:

  • Engines

  • Hydraulics

  • Electric components

  • Braking Systems

  • Drivelines

  • Pneumatics

  • Diagnose and correct electrical problems

  • Replace malfunctioning subassemblies and components (e.g. transmissions, clutches, differentials, engines, etc.)

  • Perform preventive maintenance

  • Make recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources

    • Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Up to 5 years’ experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

    • Schedule:

  • Full-time position

  • Afternoons, and night shift availability

  • 10 Hour Shifts

  • Weekend availability

  • Overtime available
